2020 has certainly been a year of immense change forcing people all around the world to rethink, reflect and re-evaluate. The impact of COVID-19 and more recently the Black Lives Matter movement are world events impacting the way we work, learn and live.

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of the 2020 Australia New Zealand MBA Directors Forum. As the first international education event post COVID-19, the Forum will provide delegates with an opportunity to connect with each other and hear from global, Australian and New Zealand leaders in education and business presenting and discussing the events of the last few months, the latest trends and the impacts on MBA education in our region and globally.

How has our world of learning changed? How have the needs and motivations of future MBA students changed? What are short term implications and the long-term opportunities for Business Schools in Australia and New Zealand?

The 2020 Forum program has been redesigned to showcase how MBA Directors and their teams are adapting, leading innovations in learning practices, engaging with industry to create new experiences via technology that is driving change in our worlds of work, learning and life.

We welcome you to join fellow academics and leaders from industry for 14th Annual Australia New Zealand MBA Director’s Forum to learn, identify, and explore the possibilities, finding new ways forward for academia and business in a world that has now changed forever.

Career leadership in times of uncertainty – MBA Career Development Masterclass

COVID-19 presents many challenges for educators and for MBAs graduating during 2020 and early 2021.  Given the current economic crisis and the evolving downturn in business globally –  BCG predict a 20% – 30% decline in global trade with recovery commencing in 2023!  – employment options will be limited for the next 24 months throughout the APAC.  This masterclass has been designed to support MBA Directors, career development professionals and industry engagement specialists to learn the skills to advise and counsel MBAs as they take the next steps in their careers during this uncertain, unpredictable time in history.

Spearheading change– MBA Masterclass

MBA, Academic and Program Directors in Business Schools are under pressure. COVID-19, together with generational, technological and economic forces already in play, are impacting the expectations, motivations and demand for MBA and graduate management education in Australia and New Zealand. Whilst time was once on side, time is no longer an excuse for business as usual with consumers of graduate management education enjoying the choice of an extended global market. The greatest competition – the choice not to study. The purpose of this masterclass is to provide an exclusive environment for MBA Directors and academic leaders of programs to openly discuss the challenges of today and the future. To gain greater understanding of the changing MBA consumer profile, their expectations, motivations and learning outcomes to support the design of academic programs that meet the future expectations of both the student and the employer.
