Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Curtin University
Professor Jill Downie was appointed to the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic at Curtin University in July 2012, responsible for teaching and learning and the student experience across the university. She is the Education Commissioner on the Australian National Commission of UNESCO. As a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Jill has served on several Boards and is currently a Non-Executive Director on the Bethesda Health Care Board. Jill has lead the strategy on transformation of learning at Curtin culminating this year in the launch of ‘Curtin Credentials’, the most recent innovation in curriculum development at the university. Professor Downie has many years of executive management experience and is an established national and international researcher with numerous grants, publications and conference presentations, including keynote addresses.
